The Art of Portraiture

A portrait for your own enjoyment or as a gift may begin or continue a tradition for you or your family, reflecting, at any age, the spirit and personality of the subject.

Traditionally, a portrait is done in either oil or drawing media. Each has its own fascinating qualities. There is a fluid luminosity in an oil painting, and a delicate quality to the soft rendering of charcoal or graphite drawings.

In my portraiture, I combine a classical approach to convey light and atmosphere, with candid poses which capture the unique and personal gestures of my subjects…all to assure your satisfaction with this special work of art.
